The Sims 4 responds to face bug and confirms a fix is coming
The Sims 4 has addressed a bug where the face of some Sims have been unintentionally altered by the game, confirming that a fix is on the way.
Earlier this week, a new update was rolled out, which coincided with the release of the game's two latest Kits.
But some players have found that ever since the update, Sims downloaded from the gallery do not render properly, with aspects such as the eyes, mouth, and body shape looking a little off.
This has resulted in many in the community reporting the bug, and after a few days, the Sims team gave a promising update.

Not only is a fix being prepared, but any affected Sims will also go back to normal, meaning those Sims have not been permanently ruined.
"We can confirm that following an upcoming fix, any Sims created prior to April 18th's update will revert back to normal & any Sims created after April 18th's update will have minor adjustments as a result of them being correctly rendered," the team said on Twitter.
"We're currently working to bring you this fix as soon as possible & we appreciate your patience."
April 18's update did come with some welcome changes and additions, introducing new underwear options for teen and older Sims as well as new decor placement options for a large number of bathroom items.

A fix for the face bug isn't the only thing in the works.
Following a large backlash over control changes for PlayStation and Xbox, the team is looking into resolving the complaints and improving the console experience.
Meanwhile, fans can expect two further Kits being announced in the near future, following on from the Greenhouse Haven and Basement Treasures Kits.
The Sims 4 is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
