The Hotel Lobby's Johnny Lee has released a music video featuring prominent AAPI celebrities in response to the Atlanta shootings and rising cases of anti-Asian violence.
About the video: The music video for "Tonight" contains footage from Stop AAPI Hate rallies as well as Black Lives Matter protests.
Lee, a Vietnamese American artist and one-half of the production and DJ duo, hopes his music video "inspires Americans to stand together again," according to a recent press release.
The video ends with a call-to-action to report hate crimes. All of its proceeds will be donated to the Stop AAPI Hate website.
Who's involved: Several AAPI celebrities appeared in the music video, such as Lisa Ling and "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" star Simu Liu.
Others include Dante Basco, Kevin Kreider, Kelly Hu and Hayden Szeto, who are shown holding signs in support of the #StopAsianHate movement.
Liu stated that although there is a long history of Asian discrimination in the U.S., there's also been a history of Asian American activism, and it is "our responsibility to continue that fight and that legacy."
