Simu Liu recently released an inspirational new song titled “Don’t.”

On Friday, the Marvel star, 33, posted on social media about his emotionally moving single.

“This song was written for all of the hard times in my life where I have questioned my worth and felt like an imposter,” he wrote in a recent Instagram post. "It is for every single person who ever has felt alone, different, heartbroken or hopeless. You are worthy. You belong. You MATTER."

“This is for all the moments you feel utterly alone, isolated, heartbroken and unlovable. There's so much more inside you than you know,” he shared in a recent tweet.

Liu, who worked with 88rising to produce “Don’t,” promised his fans that he will be releasing more music soon.

“I had the experience of a lifetime working on this record with @88rising. Our journey together is just beginning. More to come soon!” he wrote on Instagram.

This is not Liu’s first foray into music.

Last month, he sang parodies of hit songs by fellow Canadians Nickelback and Avril Lavigne at the 2023 Juno Awards.

In 2021, he released his debut song, “Hot Soup,” with 88rising for the soundtrack of “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.”

He has also posted several videos of him singing online, such as a cover of David Allen Coe’s “Tennessee Whiskey” and a mashup of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “White Christmas” with AJ Rafael.

As for acting, Liu stars in Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated “Barbie” movie, which releases in July, as well as “One True Loves,” a film adaptation of Taylor Jenkin Reid's 2016 novel of the same name that was released on Friday.
