Sincere Carry, Jalen Sullinger lead Kent State men's basketball over Concord

Sincere Carry and Jalen Sullinger scored 16 points apiece as Kent State beat Concord University 106-56 on Sunday night.

Carry contributed six rebounds and seven assists for the Golden Flashes (8-3). Sullinger sank 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Miryne Thomas had 13 points.

The Mountain Lions (7-3), a Division II program that competes in the Mountain East Conference, were led by Jordan Wooden with 15 points. Lual Daniel Rahama added 11 points, six rebounds and three steals.

The last time the Flashes hit 100 points was against Point Park on Nov. 30, 2021, when they scored 107.

Kent St. shot 50% from beyond the arc and 51.4% from the field in the first half. The Flashes took the lead and did not look back. It was Kent State's second time scoring 50 points in the first half this season; the last time was against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 16.

Next up the Golden Flashes travel to El Paso, Texas, to play in the Sun Bowl Tournament. Kent State will play New Mexico State at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
