WORCESTER — Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester, 10 Irving St., will present a songwriting workshop for children, 5 to 6 p.m. June 13, with country recording artist and "American Idol" semifinalist Ayla Brown.

The workshop, titled "Express Ourselves," is open to children in grades two through five who will learn more about expressing themselves through music.

Brown will be joined by Pakachoag faculty member and songwriter Brenda Lau. Lau is also an "Idol" winner, but in her home country of Panama, where a similar program called "Vive la musica" is broadcast.

Also, Ramiro Torres, Boston-based radio personality at Hot 96.9 Boston, will be offering private workshops for the members of the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester and children at Elm Park Community School.

Space is limited. Advanced registration is required.
