Another celebrity-driven brand is setting up shop in Tampa.

Kittenish, a women’s apparel, accessories and swimwear brand founded by country singer Jessie James Decker, will open its third brick-and-mortar location this fall at Tampa’s Hyde Park Village. It follows a flagship store in Nashville and a second in Dallas.

“It takes a very special place to win over my heart, and Tampa has done just that,” Decker said in a statement. “It’s such a lively city, filled with a fun, flirty energy, making it a perfect third home for Kittenish. The very first time I visited Hyde Park Village I just knew this is where we belong.”

Decker founded Kittenish in 2019 after rising to fame as a teenager, scoring the minor pop hit Wanted in 2009 and debuting 2017′s Southern Girl City Lights at the top of the Billboard country album charts. Her profile was raised considerably through the E! reality series Eric & Jessie: Game On, co-starring her husband, former NFL wide receiver Eric Decker.

It’s the latest big-name brand to hit the outdoor retail complex that’s home to stores like Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, Lululemon and Kendra Scott. A Sephora beauty store opened there earlier this year. This spring, developers filed plans with the city about a possible Nike Live store, which would be Tampa Bay’s first. Champagne and cocktail bar Bouzy announced a Hyde Park location, and Brooklyn’s Oddfellows Ice Cream Co. announced it would open there for its first shop in the South.

We are excited to bring another new-to-market retailer to our unique tenant mix at Hyde Park Village,” said Hyde Park Village general manager Nicole Dee. “Our community is craving more women’s retail, and Kittenish is the perfect fit.”

Kittenish will sit next to Pottery Barn at 800 S Village Circle. A grand opening ceremony is set for noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 7, featuring pop-up vendors and a meet and greet with Decker.

If you miss her there, Decker will be back in the Tampa Bay area next spring, headlining Ruth Eckerd Hall on May 5. For details on the show, see rutheckerdhall.com.
