A new single-family home community is coming to Carolina Forest, SC. Here’s what we know

Land has been cleared in the Carolina Forest along River Oaks Drive next to the homes-for-rent community The Grove at Village Oaks.

A new single-family home community is coming to the Carolina Forest area, and the location already has a name.

Called Traditions at Carolina Forest, the neighborhood is being built by Chesapeake Homes, a company with communities throughout the Carolinas and Virginia, although construction has not started.

Chesapeake Homes did not return a request for comment.

The land itself is not owned by Chesapeake Builders though. Banbury SC, LLC purchased the plot of land for $7.4 million in 2020, although the property itself is now worth $5.3 million, according to Horry County Land Records.

Banbury SC, LLC sold another undeveloped property next to the future home of the Traditions at Carolina Forest to Banbury Rental SC, LLC for $2.2 million in March 2021. Both Banbury companies were registered in South Carolina by the agent Corporation Service Company.

Corporation Service Company is a Delaware-based company that helps other businesses with corporate services and management.
