Single-vehicle crash kills Texas man, 20, in Wells, Maine

WELLS, Maine — A man from Texas was killed late Tuesday, Jan. 25, in a single-vehicle crash near, police said.

Emergency dispatchers received a call about 11:10 p.m. that a car had crashed into the woods near the 600 block of Branch Road, according to a statement from the Wells Police Department.

The driver, Cameron Fore, 20, of Houston, was transported by Wells EMS and Life Flight to Maine Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter, police said.

Those who responded included firefighters from the Wells Fire Department. Crews remained on scene cleaning up the debris and hazards from the incident, and they worked with police investigators to light up the scene for their investigation, according to a WFD statement.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family," the statement added.
