Single-vehicle crash leaves man severely injured

Oct. 24—A St. Joseph man received serious injuries just before noon Monday in a crash on Interstate 29 in Holt County.

Joshua M. Asher, 44, was driving north in a 2003 Peterbilt 357 about one mile south of Corning, Missouri, when a front passenger tire blew. The semi traveled off the road, down an embankment and came to rest on its driver's side in a field, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Asher was taken by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care with serious injuries. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
