Sioux Falls city pools open on June 2. Here's where and when you can swim this summer
Get ready to cool off with a splash at the Sioux Falls city pools this summer.
The city's outdoor aquatic facilities—which include three aquatic centers, two traditional pools, two spray parks and one wading pool — will open for the season on Friday, June 2.
Hayward Spray Park is the newest addition to the city's aquatic lineup. Its grand opening was May 19.
As of the end of April, the city was on pace to be fully staffed with lifeguards, which means the facilities are able to open on time. In 2021, a staffing shortage meant some facilities opened late or not at all that season.

All outdoor pools and waterparks will be open for open swim from 1-5 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m. each day. The spray parks are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation also operates the Midco Aquatic Center at 1601 S. Western Avenue, which is open year-round with varying hours each day of the week.
