How this Sioux Falls photographer landed a spot to capture NASA's SpaceX Crew-7 launch

Sioux Falls photographer Wes Eisenhauer, of Kickturn Studio, has been offered an opportunity to document the launch of NASA's SpaceX Crew-7 mission on Aug. 17 in Cape Canaveral, Florida, according to NASA press release.

“Having built an impressive portfolio in the field of photography and filmmaking, Wes has been chosen by NASA for his exceptional talent in capturing the essence of extraordinary events,” a press release from Eisenhauer states.

The SpaceX Crew-7 mission is part of NASA's continued commitment to space exploration and international cooperation. The mission is set to transport a team of four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) to further research and advance the frontiers of space science.

Eisenhauer will be tasked with documenting his trip as he gets a behind-the-scenes look at NASA facilities, meets and interacts with NASA astronauts and views the launch of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-7 mission from a special on-site location.

“This once-in-a-lifetime invitation marks a significant milestone in Wes’ career, as he prepares to capture the awe-inspiring moments of the Crew Dragon spacecraft launch,” the release stated.

Eisenhauer’s dedication to bring a unique perspective and artistic vision is evident in the breathtaking images he produced over the years, making him a natural fit for such a momentous assignment, the release states.
