The above-normal warm temperatures continue to linger in South Dakota as Sioux Falls set a new record high for the day of Nov. 29, according to the NWS in Sioux Falls.

As of 1 p.m. Monday a brief summary of locations that have set high temperature records, according to the NWS in Sioux Falls, included Sioux Falls, Mitchell, Huron, Yankton, Sioux City, Iowa and Spencer, Iowa.

Sioux Falls also set a record for warmest day so far in the season, according to the NWS.

The high for Monday in Sioux Falls was 66, said Brittany Peterson, a meteorologist at the NWS in Sioux Falls.

The previous record for Nov. 29 was set in 1973 where Sioux Falls had a high of 60.

"The actually tied the previous record of 60 at 10:33 a.m. this morning," Peterson said. "We've seen an unusual warm and dry pattern of temperatures this time of year."

Peterson said the warm weather will stick around this week with Wednesday and Thursday predicted to have highs in the 60s that could set new high records as well.

When's it going to snow?

As the above-normal temperatures continue being felt across South Dakota people in Sioux Falls have begun wondering when the first big snowfall could happen.

The seven-day forecast shows no signs of precipitation in the following days. Temperature highs will also remain above normal, according to the NWS.

A look ahead, according to the NWS:

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Northwest wind five to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then becoming sunny, with a high near 51. North northwest wind around five mph becoming south southeast in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: A chance of sprinkles before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. South wind five to 10 mph becoming west after midnight.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 62. West wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 42. West wind around 10 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 36.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 38.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 41.
