Sirens Sound Near Savannah Amid Tornado Watch
Sirens sounded in Pooler, Georgia, on March 18, as a tornado watch was issued for parts of Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The weather service warned that “a couple strong tornadoes” were possible across the area on Thursday. The NWS also said the severe weather could prompt ping pong ball-sized hail and gusts up to 70 mph.
Footage filmed by Twitter user @Psidippides on Thursday shows storm clouds overhead and sirens going off in Pooler, a city near Savannah, Georgia.
