Six people, including two children, were shot near Methodist North Hospital early Tuesday morning, the Memphis Police Department said.

Officers were in the process of a traffic stop at midnight, when they heard multiple shots fired near a BP gas station on the corner of Raleigh LaGrange and Sycamore View Road. Memphis police said they then saw a white SUV drive away on northbound Sycamore View.

When police arrived at the location of the gunshots, they found "a crime scene but no victims."

Four people were shot at the BP, with one being transported by private vehicle to Methodist North Hospital. The other three were in the white SUV officers saw leaving the scene.

MPD began driving north, in the direction of the white SUV, and found a white Infinity QX50 at the Tanglewood Apartment complex.

"The vehicle had a part of a gas pump hanging from the gas tank and bullet holes," MPD said on Facebook. Nobody was in the car when police arrived, but the car was reported to have been stolen from Collierville.

When the trio left the white Infiniti QX50 at the apartment complex, a 14-year-old and 25-year-old took them to Methodist North Hospital in a different car, but were shot at outside of the hospital.

"While on the way to the hospital, they were shot by unknown suspect occupying a dark-colored vehicle," MPD said. "The five abandoned the disabled car and ran into the hospital."

Officers arrived on scene at 12:47 a.m., and learned six people had been admitted from the emergency room suffering from gunshot wounds. All six were exported in critical condition, with two going to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and four going to Regional One Hospital.

As of 1 p.m. Tuesday, both people transferred to Le Bonheur are out of critical condition, with one in non-critical and the other released. Of the four people transported to Regional One, three remain in critical condition and one has been released.

Police have the three people who were driving the stolen Infiniti QX50 in custody and charged 19-year-old Reginald Felix, a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old with theft of property between $10,000 and $60,000. Relix and the 16-year-old have been discharged from the hospital and the 17-year-old is still receiving treatment at Regional One Hospital.

Felix is currently free on $30,000 bond in an unrelated case involving accusations that he stole a car in July.

Two 25-year-olds are currently in critical condition, but remain stable at Regional One Hospital. Their identities have not been released.
