The Iowa Cubs lineup will face one of its toughest tests this season Saturday night.

Kansas City Royals manager Mike Matheny told reporters that six-time All-Star pitcher Zack Greinke is scheduled to make a rehab start for the Omaha Storm Chasers against the Iowa Cubs at Principal Park on Saturday at 6:08 p.m.

Greinke has been on the injured list since May with a right flexor strain. He made one other rehab start for Omaha on June 12 when he allowed just one hit in five shutout innings.

It’s a huge addition for the Storm Chasers and the Cubs during a Saturday night home game. Greinke is one of the most successful right-handed pitchers in the game right now.

The 38-year-old old has won 219 games and been selected to six All-Star Games. Greinke, who is in his second stint with the Royals, played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks and Houston Astros.

After winning 11 games with the Astros in 20, Greinke returned to the Royals on a one-year deal. He went 0-4 with a 5.05 ERA in 10 starts before landing on the injured list.
