The Philadelphia 76ers are slowly getting healthier as they have their main guys back on the roster–at least at the big man spots–and that means that the younger players who had an opportunity earlier in the season are not able to have the same chances to play at the moment.

This goes for second-year big man Paul Reed who received two starters earlier in the season and made an impact, but with everybody back, he has not played much. He is averaging 2.0 points and 2.2 rebounds on the season so he has not had much opportunity to develop.

Therefore, the Sixers will assign Reed down to the team’s G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. This will give Reed more playing time and allow him to develop with the necessary court time.

The Sixers made Reed’s contract fully guaranteed on the season so they do like him. It all just comes down to him getting the playing time to continue his development.
