On Monday night, Washington Wizards guard Russell Westbrook accomplished something that was thought to never be done in NBA history. The explosive guard recorded his 182nd career triple-double in a tough 125-124 loss to the Atlanta Hawks and that broke Oscar Robertson’s record for the most in NBA history.

By going for 28 points, 21 assists, and 13 rebounds on Monday, Westbrook broke the record and he is now sitting atop the triple-double leaderboards in the history of the game. It was something that was thought to never have a chance to be done so when it happened, he received a lot of praise.

Philadelphia 76ers legend Allen Iverson made sure he paid his respects to Westbrook with an Instagram post celebrating such a terrific accomplishment.

Despite the loss, the Wizards are still in the No. 10 seed for the play-in tournament which is something that nobody thought would be possible considering their tough start to the season. Westbrook and the Wizards will be a tough out for whoever they face in the postseason if they can get in.
