Sixers vs. Pelicans preview: How to watch, TV channel, start time

The Philadelphia 76ers open the 2021-22 season by taking on the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, and if you’re wondering how you can watch all the action live, you’ve come to the right place. The Sixers will be without a certain All-Star guard, but they feel they have enough to start the season on the right foot.

Despite the suspension of Ben Simmons, and the circus that has surrounded him, the Sixers enter the season with a ton of talent led by MVP candidate Joel Embiid. Philadelphia has put the right pieces around him, Tobias Harris, Seth Curry and Danny Green, to give him enough space to operate in the post, where the Sixers should still have success this season.

Here’s when and where you should tune in to see the matchup:

  • Time: 8 p.m. EDT

  • Location: Smoothie King Center New Orleans, Louisiana

  • Channel: NBC Sports Philadelphia
