‘Sixteen Candles,’ ‘High Fidelity’ star John Cusack coming soon to a Fort Worth auditorium

Actor John Cusack is coming to Fort Worth for a screening of of the 1984 romantic film “Sixteen Candles.”

The Illinois-native will be at the Will Rogers Auditorium on Friday. Tickets are still on sale for the 7:30 p.m. event and start around $16.

Following the screening, Cusack will talk about the making of the film and his career. A question and answer session with fans, is also planned for the evening.

Cusack has been working in Hollywood since the early 1980s, breaking into the mainstream with roles in “The Sure Thing” and “Say Anything.” Other major credits for the actor include “Con Air,” “Grosse Pointe Blank,” “Being John Malkovich” and “High Fidelity.”

Friday’s event is the first of several Texas stops for Cusack, who will be in Dallas on Saturday for a screening of his 1989 film “Say Anything.” He will then travel to Houston on Sunday for a screening of “High Fidelity.”
