Skating rinks are out, but virtual reality games, trampoline, climbing walls are in

If you love rollerblading or roller-skating, you might be sad to hear that El Paso has lost its two roller-skating rinks.

Roller Bomb, which was at12320 Lorenzo Ruiz Ave., quietly announced its closure on its website, thanking El Paso for 13 years of business. Management said they were sorry to go but would be pursuing other possibilities.

El Paso seems to have a hard time maintaining skating rink since the pandemic. Skate, Rattle and Roll closed in December.

Skate Rattle and Roll, which opened at the Outlet Shoppes at El Paso in Canutillo, had a much shorter life span. It opened in 2021, during the pandemic, and then closed in December 2022, according to the outlet's public relations crew.
