Slayer to reunite after 5 years at Riot Fest 2024

CHICAGO — For the first time in five years, the legendary thrash metal band Slayer will perform together at Riot Fest this fall.

On Wednesday, Slayer was announced as one of the headliners at the upcoming Riot Fest 2024 at Douglas Park in Chicago.

The two-time Grammy Award winning thrash metal band became a household name in the rock subgenre after their third studio album in 1986 “Reign in Blood” that featured their hit songs “Angel of Death” and “Raining Blood.”

In 2015, Slayer released their twelfth studio album “Repentless” with the single “Delusions of Saviour” having over 121 million streams on Spotify Music.

Slayer last performed together during their farewell tour from Spring 2018 to Winter 2019.

Riot Fest will take place at Douglas Park from Friday, Sept. 20 to Sunday, Sept. 22. Tickets are on sale now.
