Slight risk severe storms Friday morning
Tied another record high today. That's four record highs tied in the past 6 days, and we've been in the 80s the past 9 days. The last time we had measurable rain at the Airport was Lundi Gras, and then only a trace of rain. With all the heat, there is a lot of evaporation. If you are a gardener, you need to water the garden!!! Lows overnight mainly near 70. Highs Wednesday and Thursday mainly in the low 80s. Slight rain chance each day. Looks like a narrow band of rain and some storms move through early Friday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has us at a slight risk for severe storms. The concern is mainly some strong winds in storms. Isolated tornado is possible, but the greater risk is more to our North. We will not get much rain out of this system. It will be breezy. Cooler Friday into weekend.
