'Slime Time' raises gooey funds for Alliance school
At Alliance Intermediate School, a fundraising idea was a slimy success.
Students and staff purchased tickets throughout last week for the chance to take part in the “Slime Time” assembly. During the event, Principal Stephanie Garren and Assistant Principal Erica Jackson took doses of green slime over the head all in the name of fun.
The $800 raised will help to pay for the year’s Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) incentives. Students are honored each month for reaching a specific set of goals.

On Sept. 8, Garren and Jackson each picked three tickets with students' names out of their buckets, and those students got to slime them. One staff member was selected for each principal and got to drop the goopy green goo on the principal of their choosing.
Both of the principals were completely covered after having four buckets of slime apiece dumped on them. District officials said they were good sports, laughing the entire time the event was going on.
