Small Business Saturday in Sioux Falls means plenty of deals
After you've sat down with your family for a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving or have run through big box stores on Black Friday, think about heading to your local mom-and-pop shops across Sioux Falls for Small Business Saturday.
The day that celebrates small businesses across America started in 2010. The United States Small Business Administration estimated in 2022 that shoppers cross the nation spent $17.9 billion at local shops and restaurants.
Sioux Falls is no stranger to Small Business Saturday and the Argus Leader has compiled a list of deals and goodies shoppers may find for the shopping extravaganza Nov. 25.
605 Running Company
The running apparel store located at 225 E 11th St. will be offering a buy one item, get the second item half off across the store.
Carpenter Bar, The Treasury and Highball
The bars, located at 215 S. Phillips Ave, 100 N. Phillips Ave and 440 E. 8th St respectively, will offer a 20% bonus on all gift card sales. If a person purchases a $100 gift card, they'll receive a $20 bonus card. The promotion will run from Small Business Saturday through Dec. 23.
Chelsea's Boutique
The clothing store located at 220 S. Phillips Ave will offer 35% off miscellaneous bottoms and clearance sales.
Fernson Brewing Company
The brewery and taproom located at 332 S Phillips Ave is offering a free tap beer Nickle when shoppers buy a 4-pack of beer. Cases of beer will be 10% off, clothing and hats will be 20% off and non-clothing merch is 10% off.
Harvester Kitchen
The fine dining restaurant located at 196 E 6th St is offering a Bernardaud candle holder set when shoppers buy $500 worth of Harvester Kitchen gift cards.
Jones 421
There will be a holiday market inside the Jones Building located at 421 N. Phillips Ave. Shoppers have the chance to enter to win a gift basket giveaway.
Lauriebelles
The clothing store located at 206 S. Phillips Ave will have storewide savings and a free gift with a $50 purchase.
Mahlanders
The appliance store located at 130 N. Minnesota Ave, the shop will have deals on the GE Top Load Washer for $629 and the GE Electric Dryer for $629.
Mary's Mountain Cookies
The cookie store located at 701 N. Phillips Ave will offer $25 gift cards for $20 or five $5 gift cards for $20.
Mint + Basil
The clothing shop located at 207 S. Phillips Ave will offer shoppers Christmas treats, have 15% off the entire store, a free gift to the first 100 customers to make a purchase, coupons with every purchase for 25% off in January.
MK Threads
The clothing store located at 222 S. Phillips Ave will offer swag bags for the first 20 in-store purchases, doorbuster sweaters for $14.99, buy-one get-one free ornaments, a stocking stuffer bar and an extra 10% off all sale items. Shoppers can also enjoy snacks and cocktails.
Nyberg's Ace
The family hardware store located at 200 E. 12th St. will offer a free fidget spinner with every purchase. Plus shoppers can get 50% off one regular priced item with a coupon.
PRIMP Boutique
The clothing store located at 204 S. Phillips Ave will offer 20% off the entire store from Nov. 24 through Nov. 26.
Remedy Brewing
The brewery located at 8th and Railroad Center will be offering a gift card special. For every $50 gift card purchased, $10 will be received for free.
Rough Cut Social
The axe throwing venue located at 119 W 10th St will offer 25% off gift cards.
The Spice and Tea Exchange
The tea and spice store located at 328 S Phillips Ave will be giving away free 12 oz. Earl Grey Creme teas to all shoppers.

The coffee shop located inside the Jones Building at 421 N. Phillips Ave will offer 10% off all beans.

The eyewear shop located at 311 S. Phillips Ave will offer 20% off non-prescription sunglasses and 30% off Ray-Bans.

The grocery store located at 530 S. 2nd Ave will offer $5 off a $50 purchase.

The store located at 218 S. Phillips Avenue will be offering cider and treats while shoppers browse the 150 small brands the store carriers. Shoppers who spend over $40 will also get a gift included with their purchase.

Other ways to find local wares
There will also be a few local vendor markets during December where shoppers can find more local goods.
Art Collective: Over 70 artists will be selling their wares from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 at the Washington Pavilion.
605 Market: Find 605 made items at this holiday market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 2 at the lower level parking ramp of the original Cherapa Place building.
