Which small cities are the best —and worst — in Georgia? Here's what one analysis says
Three Georgia cities ranked among the top 90% on WalletHub's 2023 "Best Small Cities in America" list.
Woodstock ranked the highest, in the 98th percentile, while Alpharetta ranked in the 95th percentile and Duluth made the 91st percentile. All three are part of the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Carmel, Ind. ranked the highest in the U.S., followed by Lexington, Massachusetts and Brentwood, Tennessee.
Bessemer, Alabama was the lowest ranked of the cities included in the analysis.

WalletHub compared more than 1,300 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 using five categories:
Affordability
Economic health
Education and health
Quality of life
Safety
The scores on these factors were determined by 45 livability indicators, including housing costs, school systems and number of restaurants.
Evans, located in the Augusta area, scored 5th overall on affordability.
Four Georgia small cities ranked in the bottom two percent on WalletHub's list: East Point, Albany, LaGrange and Stonecrest. Albany was rated the second-worst small city for education and health. Stonecrest was in the bottom 10 for quality of life.
