Small plane crash at Leesburg Executive Airport

LEESBURG, Va. (DC News Now) — Virginia State Police (VSP) said troopers were at Leesburg Executive Airport Friday after VSP received word that a small plane crashed there.

State police said the private plane was coming in for a landing shortly before 5 p.m. when it ended up coming to rest off the runway in the grass of the tarmac.

Plane leaves Dulles, makes emergency landing on Loudoun County Parkway

VSP said there were five people on board, including the pilot. None of them was hurt.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration were being notified of the incident.
