Smalls Sliders will soon break ground for a restaurant in Thibodaux
Smalls Sliders will break ground later this month for its newest location in Thibodaux.
The community is invited to a groundbreaking ceremony Jan. 31 beginning at 3 p.m. at the new restaurant site, 305 North Canal Blvd. The event will include cheeseburger sliders for sampling and photo opportunities with the Thibodaux ownership team: Dustin Malbrough, Josh Son, Ben Malbrough, Marty Chabert, Matthew Ory and operating partner Craig Guilbeaux.
Thibodaux joins a growing list of markets where Smalls Sliders will open restaurants this year, including Shreveport, Prairieville, New Orleans, Slidell, Metairie and Alexandria, the company said Thursday. The company's website lists two Baton Rouge locations as existing restaurants and "Coming Spring 2022" for Thibodaux.

Smalls Sliders menu features a variety of slider combos, milkshakes and two flavors of Icees. Extras include items such as another slider, bacon, smauce, queso and fries.
Thursday's announcement says Smalls Sliders is the "brainchild" of Brandon Landry, founder of Walk-On's, and co-founder Jacob Dugas. They were joined by a team of entrepreneurs including NFL star Drew Brees, LSU professor Scott Fargason and veteran franchise executive Joe Lewis.
The first Smalls Sliders is located at 4343 Nicholson Drive, across from Tigerland near LSU in Baton Rouge.
