CHILLICOTHE — The Smashing Pumpkins will headline Summer Camp Music Festival in 2022, organizers announced Monday.

The Chicago-based alt rockers will join host bands moe. and Umphrey's McGee, along with 100 other artists, over Memorial Day weekend at Three Sisters Park, the fest announced Monday.

The appearance will mark the festival's debut for the Pumpkins, who have not played in central Illinois in 15 years. The band released its latest album, "Cyr," last year.

The event will take place May 27-29, with a pre-party on May 26. Ticket information is available at summercampfestival.com.
