  1. Big shakeup at News 12 lands four anchors and reporters out of a job! Among the latest cuts are veteran anchor Jackie Lukas, sports anchor Jamie Stuart, and reporters Christine Insinga, and Shari Einhorn, who took to social media to announce their departures from News 12 due to Altice's reorganization of it's newsroom. (Daily Voice)

  2. If you have a student loan with Navient loan company, you are in luck! New York Attorney General Letitia James announced that Navient has been ordered to pay back more than $1.7 billion in debt cancelation nationwide for deceptive practices, including $110 million to around 4,300 New York student borrowers. If you will have your loans canceled, you will receive a notice from Navient by July 2022, authorities said. Refunds on any payments of the canceled loans made after June 30, 2021, will also be refunded. No action is required from loan borrowers to receive these funds. (Smithtown Patch)

  3. In Suffolk County, 1,176,064 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 1,723. On the whole, Long Island's COVID-19 positivity rate continues to a steady decline. New cases are still at a little over 8,500 per day with nearly 2,200 Long Island residents being treated for COVID at hospitals. (Press Release Desk)
