Smoke alarms recalled over failure to warn of fire

Kidde TruSense, a popular brand of smoke detectors, is recalling its alarms for failing to alert to a fire. The company will replace the units free of charge.

- All right, tonight a major problem with a popular brand of smoke detectors has led to a nationwide recall. Kidde TruSense Smoke Alarms are being recalled for not going off when there's a fire. More than 200,000 units were sold by major retailers, including Walmart, Home Depot, and Amazon. Kidde says it will replace the units free of charge.
