Smoke billows from plane that caught fire on landing in Miami
STORY: A Red Air passenger plane slid off the runway and caught fire while trying to land at Miami International Airport Tuesday.
According to local media, the aircraft arriving from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, made an emergency landing at around 5:30 pm (21:30 GMT) after reports of a problem with its landing gear.
The approximately 140 passengers and 11 crew members traveling on board were evacuated. Reports indicate four people suffered minor injuries.
Two runways at the airport were closed in the aftermath of the accident.
