California’s Dixie Fire had grown to 85,479 acres (about 134 square miles) as of July 21, with officials saying it was 15 percent contained.

Officials warned that the fire would “continue to move northeast with the potential for 2 to 3 miles of new growth,” as evacuation orders remained in place.
