It’s smooth skating at Metro South Boys & Girls Club's synthetic ice rink in Taunton
TAUNTON — Summer camp in the winter?
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South officially opened its synthetic ice-skating season on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Camp Riverside in Taunton. FedEx sponsored the creation of the outdoor synthetic rink, which had its grand opening in December 2021. Skating season, which runs through March 25, features synthetic ice skating, hot chocolate, ice skating lessons and community socializing.
Boys & Girls Club members from Brockton and Taunton get to enjoy the rink on field trips during school vacations. The rink is also open to the public for $7 per skater on Friday nights and $10 on Saturdays and Sundays, including one hour of skating and skate rental. Families can also purchase a season pass, with a discount for Boys & Girls Club members. And the rink is available for rentals for birthday parties and other events.
