Sneak peek: New Legoland Florida ride offers pirate-themed adventure

Legoland Florida invited the media to its Winter Haven theme park Wednesday for an early look at its new pirate-themed attraction.

Riders will experience "a voyage through the natural canals of Historic Cypress Gardens," a Legoland spokeswoman said, adding it is "one-of-a-kind" in terms of an all-ages theme park attraction because the attraction takes park goers on a voyage through a treasured landscape within Florida.

The new ride, called Pirate River Quest, opens Thursday at 10 a.m. and goes until 5 p.m. during normal theme park hours. Legoland Florida Resort is located at 6000 Cypress Gardens Blvd. in Winter Haven.
