Snow Arrives in Winnipeg

A strong weather system was expected to bring “significant” snowfall and wind gusts up to 80 km/h (about 50 mph) to southern Manitoba, Canada, by Friday, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) said.

This footage filmed by Twitter user @PaulieBricks, who said it was taken in Winnipeg on Wednesday, shows snowflakes floating across the city’s skyline.

Local snowfall accumulation in the region through November 12 was expected to reach at least 40 centimeters (15.7 inches), according to ECCC. Credit: @PaulieBricks via Storyful
