A snow day means playing in the snow for many area kids
The Kids Page is a compilation of responses written by kindergarten-eighth grade students from area schools. Students are asked a different question each month and answers are printed weekly.
This month’s question: What is your favorite thing to do on a snow day and why?

My favorite thing to do on a snow day is to wake up early. Next, I play my Nintendo Switch. Then I change into my snow stuff. After that, I shovel the drive way. Last, I play in the snow. I love snow days and so does my brother.

My favorite thing to do on a snow day from school is to prank my brother. I prank him by drawing an arrow in the snow pointing to the woods. I would also write enter if you dare. When we are done playing we go inside and sit by the fire.

On a snowy day my favorite thing to do is go sledding with my dad and Gus. (Gus is my brother.) We have our very own sleds. Sometimes I go on my belly. When we get home my mom makes us hot chocolate and we play nintendo!

Today is a snow day. My favorite thing to do on a snow day from school is to make a pile of snow. I like to make piles of snow because it is just like a leaf pile. Next, I like to jump in it because it feels weird and sometimes I get a piece of snow and eat it. Then I sometimes say, “This is cold! A little to cold!” Last, my sister and I do a contest who can survive snow in their shirt. Making a snow pile is really fun because I can also build a snowman. Make a snow pile is my favorite thing to do on a snow day from school.

Today is a snow day. My favorite thing to do on a snow day from school is to build a snowman. First, I would roll a big ball up. Second, I’d roll a little smaller ball. Third, I’d roll a little bit smaller ball. Fourth, I’d set them on each other. Later, I’d pick up four rocks put them on and put eight rocks on its head for a face. Next, I’d put a big carrot on its head. Sixth, I’d put two sticks for arms and put a scarf on its head. My favorite thing to do on a snow day is to build a snowman.

I was the excited day. It was the day before Christmas. In the morning I had a cup of hot chocolate my elf was in the tree. Until I want to go outside in the snow I went sledding. When my sister came outside we had a snowball fight after that we made snow angels. Then mom said it was breakfast time. One minite later me and my sister made a snowman. It took a long time to do when it got darker and darker outside. I got cold then we went inside to get a cup of hot chocolate it was really good then it was getting towards the end of the day.

These are my FAVORITE things to do on a snow day! The first one is that I like to watch It/It2. My secon one is that I like to baby sit my nephew. My third thing is that I love to make popits in the snow. My other favorite thing is defintly to take a hot bath. My last is to spending time with family. So that is my favorite thing to do in winter.

If I could have a snow day I would stay inside all day. First, I would get out of bed but I would keep on my blue furry pjs. Then, I would get a pop tart with warm milk. After that I sit on the couch with a blanket and watch Victorious while drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows. I would have spaghetti and a breadstick. Then I would read a book and go to bed. I would love to have a snow day!

My most favorite thing about snow days is sleeping in and drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows and wrapping myself in a blanket and waffles. I like sleeping in because sleeping is relaxing. I like drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows because the hot cocoa is great. Wrapping myself in a blanket keeps me warm. My mom's waffles are so soft and good. What do you do on a snow day?
