The Kids Page is a compilation of responses written by kindergarten through eighth-grade students from area schools. Students are asked a different question each month and answers are printed weekly.
This month’s question: What is your favorite thing to do on a snow day from school and why?

My favorite thing to do on a snowday is to build snowmen. I also like to explore in the creek. I also build snow forts. I love making snow angels. My favorite thing to do is get buried in snow. Afterward, I come inside and watch tv. Then, I drink hot chocolate.

My favorite thing to do on a snow day is go skiing at Snow Trails in Mansfield if my dad doesn’t have work. If we don’t go skiing then in the morning before I eat breakfast I get my clothes on and go outside, and the first thing I do is make a snow angel! Then I eat breakfast and go get my neighbors and we go sled riding! These are all my favorite things to because I’m with my friends!

During a snow day I like to wake up and make my breakfast. Then I will play video games till lunch. After that I’ll go outside in the snow. I will go sledding, throw snow balls with my brother and make snow forts. Then I’ll come in for dinner.

Some of my favorite things to do are play in the snow and sit on the couch. The reason I like playing in the snow is you can have snowball fights. Another reason is you can build snow forts. One reason I like sitting on the couch is I can watch TV and play on the ipad. Another reason is I can drink hot chocolate. The last reason is I can get all cozy with my blankets.

If there was a snow day I would go to my friends house and go sledding, and have a snowball fight too. Then we would go inside and play a video game or something. Then we would go home and watch T.V. Then the next day I would go to school. That is my perfect snow day.

If I had a snowday these are some fun things I can do. What I love doing is sleeping in. I love not being woke up at the crack of dawn. When I do wake up I like to have hot chocolate, it warms me up. Then I like watching shows and movies with my family and my hot cocoa. When I’m don’t doing that then all of the fun starts. I like to go sleading sometimes I try to get my cats to go sleading with me but most of the time they end up jumping out. I love having snowball fights. I also ice skate because I have a cement pad and it always freezes and so I ice skate on it. I make snowman and snow angels I always put a hat, scarf, gloves and sometimes sun glasses. And when I go back inside I like to bake brownies and cookies for santa and me. And that is what I like to do on a snowday.

Today is a snow day this is what I would do. I would go to Maddox’s house we would play Call of Duty in bed. We would get in a snow ball fight I would win. Then we would build a snow man. Then we would eat hot Cheetos. We would play vido games too. Then I would go home and drift my moms car in the driveway. Then I would jam to music and then pop wheelies on my drit bike. That is what I would do.

Today is a snow day! My favorite thing to do on a snow day from school is to play in the snow because I like to build a snowman and have snowball fights. Also, when I come inside I like to get all cozy and warm. Then I watch t.v. with my mom, two brothers, and a sister. Then I go back outside and play more. This is my favorite thing to do on a snow day from school.
