Snow emergency declared, parking ban in effect for many Wooster streets starting at 8 p.m.

Due to the heavy snowfall forecast for tonight and Monday, a snow parking ban will be in effect starting at 8 p.m. this evening, Sunday Jan 16, according to a news release from the City of Wooster.

This snow parking ban will remain in effect until 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, or until the snow has been sufficiently cleared from the streets and lifted by a subsequent announcement, the release said.

During the snow emergency, parking is prohibited on the following City streets: Akron Road, Henry Street, Quinby Avenue, Beall Avenue, High Street, South Street, Bever Street, Highland Avenue, Spink Street, Bowman Street, Larwill Street, Spruce Street, Buckeye Street, Liberty Street, Vanover Street, Burbank Road, Madison Avenue, Walnut Street, Cleveland Road, Market Street, Wayne Avenue, Columbus Avenue, Mechanicsburg Road, West Lincoln Way, East University Street, North Street (Mansfield Road), (east of Beall Avenue), Oak Hill Road, Emerick Street, Palmer Street, Gasche Street, Pittsburgh Avenue, Grant Street, Portage Road and Graustark Path, between Highland Avenue and Winkler Drive.
