NEW YORK (PIX11) – The month of April isn’t just bringing showers to the tri-state area.

Snow is expected to fall in areas of upstate New York, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul. The Adirondacks and Catskills could see up to 2 feet of snow, while the North Country, Capital, Central, upper Mid-Hudson and Southern Tier regions might get between 6 to 12 inches.

New York City, Long Island and the lower Mid-Hudson region are expected to see 2-3 inches of rain starting Tuesday night, Hochul said. Rain is expected to fall through Thursday, which could cause major flooding.
