Round 1 of the winter storm this week proved to be more of a rainmaker than a snowman maker.

The next bout with winter arrives Thursday afternoon and the National Weather Service says any precipitation this time around should be in the form of snowflakes.

And there could be quite a few flakes fueled by Lake Erie in the air particularly late Thursday afternoon.

Anywhere from 2 to 3 inches of snow could fall by Thursday night in Greater Akron.

After a brief break Friday morning, snow showers are expected to return by the afternoon into the evening.

A cloudy Saturday is on tap with temperatures in the 40s.

For Sunday, off and on rain and snow showers are expected.
