Snow showers may leave icy spots early Wednesday, sun comes out in afternoon

Snow showers may leave a few icy spots early Wednesday, especially south of I-70. After that, grab the sunglasses and enjoy a rare sunny day in Pittsburgh.

Temperatures will be cold, so you’ll need the hats, gloves and scarves for the walk to the bus stop. Highs will only make it back into the 20s and wind chills will slowly climb from the single digits to the teens.

Thursday will be slightly milder, but the next system brings the threat for snow showers and bitter cold Thursday night and Friday.

Scattered snow showers will fall early Friday and off and on through the day leaving icy spots on untreated surfaces. Wind chills will dip near 0 at times, so plan for the cold before you head outdoors.
