Snowballs Fly at Dome of the Rock as Jerusalem Residents Enjoy Snow Day

Residents of Jerusalem frolicked outside after several inches of snow fell in elevated areas of the city in the early hours of January 27.

Local media reported that the snowfall was brought on by a polar depression, which started to impact the area on Wednesday.

A severe snow warning was issued by the Israel Meteorological Service, with “at least 10 centimeters” (about 4 inches) piling up overnight, according to The Times of Israel.
