1. More than 100 homeless families residing on the main campuses of Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa and West Pasco were given a special celebration on Christmas Day including gifts and meals. Cooks in the kitchen at Metropolitan Ministries also made food for hundreds of homeless people throughout the area. (Fox 13 Tampa)

2. The Omicron variant surged 320% in Florida in one week. University of Florida epidemiologist Cindy Prins says Florida should brace for another wave of infections, illness and some deaths. (Tampa Bay Times)

3. Three people were injured while tubing at Snowcat Ridge on Christmas Eve, according to Pasco County firefighters. One adult was flown from the snow park with serious inquires, according to Pasco Fire Rescue. (WFLA)

4. Apollo the dolphin celebrated his first Christmas at Clearwater Marine Aquarium this year. The 2-year-old dolphin was found stranded, starving, and covered in parasites on May 15th near Playlinda Beach, Florida. (Patch Tampa)

5. "Snow Days" events are back at The Florida Aquarium in downtown Tampa and allows visitors to build snow creations, navigate a new Snow Maze, and experience falling snow. The event is included with general admission. (WTSP)
