'Snowmageddon' Begins in Oklahoma City Area, With Up to 7 Inches of Snow Forecasted

The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasted up to seven inches of snow in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area as winter weather impacted the region on Tuesday, January 24.

Oklahoma City Public Schools canceled in-person classes on January 24 due to the forecasted winter weather and said all school buildings would be closed.

The NWS issued a winter storm warning and a hazardous weather outlook and said the weather conditions would impact travel in the area.
