SOCCER: San Angelo Central boys record third-straight tie

The San Angelo Central boys soccer team finished in a tie for the third-straight match, as the Bobcats battled to a 1-1 draw against Pflugerville Hendrickson on Day 2 of the Governors Cup in Georgetown on Friday.

Oscar Fuentes scored a first-half goal off a Chase Miller assist.

Hendrickson pulled even with 15 minutes left.

Central (0-3-3) opened the tourney with a 0-0 tie against the host team Georgetown on Thursday.

Jacob Little and Caleb Catano combined in goal for the shutout.

The Bobcats will look for their first victory of the season when they wrap up the tourney with a match against McKinney Boyd on Saturday.

The Woodlands 2, Central girls 1

The San Angelo Central Lady Cats dropped their second match at the Governors Cup in Georgetown on Friday.

Central (3-3) opened the tourney with a 2-1 win against Rockwall-Heath on Thursday.

The Lady Cats wrap up play with a match against A&M Consolidated on Saturday.
