Mom and nutritionist Sarah Osbon, originally of Rankin County, created an Instagram social media account in 2017 titled "SnackswithJax," where she shares daily tips and meal inspirations that she has created for her now 6-year-old son Jaxon.
On her Instagram, SnackswithJax account she features videos of meals she has prepared for her son and shows steps on how to prepare them. She has shared many different types of foods, including starting solids for infants, lunchbox accessories and utensils for toddlers, balanced school snacks and more.
Osbon attended Northwest Rankin High School and later attended the University of Mississippi. She started off college studying to be a pediatrician and took nutrition as an elective during her junior year.
It was then she realized she had a passion for helping people learn to eat healthy and maintain healthier eating habits and an overall healthier lifestyle. She switched her major to nutrition.
Osbon now resides in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, where she earned her degree from Texas Woman's University after transferring there during her senior year.
"My degree was in nutrition, and I used to be a children's culinary instructor," Osbon said. "So when I first had my son I was still teaching and I would baby wear him to class and parents loved it so a few of the other parents suggested that when I start feeding him I should create an Instagram and share it."
Osbon's social media community now has more than 106,000 on Instagram where she shares her son's meals, nutrition information and evidence-based tips for feeding children.
"I had all this knowledge about foods and healthy eating and had a brand new baby so I started the Instagram just to kind of connect with people and just to have the community of other people, that's how I got into the social media thing," Osbon said. "I was looking on Instagram and I would see all these really pretty plates that other moms shared of their kids eating, but you would never know, did the kid really eat it? Did the food get thrown everywhere? So, I started doing before and after of my son's plates and I feel like parents just loved that relatability of knowing not every meal is perfect with a baby."

Osbon was recently featured on ABC's "Good Morning America," where she was part of a segment sharing helpful back to school food hacks for moms all over the world.
"I never thought what I shared on Instagram would grow into what it is for me today," Osbon said. "Now I take it more serious, and I like being able to be a resource to show this is how you safely prepare these foods for your baby and for their age range. I think my tips could be so helpful and take a lot of the anxiety away for other moms."
