Social media reactions to Florida’s upset win over No. 2 Tennessee

Florida took down Tennessee on Wednesday night, 67-54, marking the first signature win of the Todd Golden era.

Coming into the game, not many believed that Florida would contend with a Volunteers team that’s been dominant all season long, especially on defense. The Gators can play some defense of their own, though, and quickly proved that they wouldn’t be backing down from a fight. Colin Castleton exploded in the second half for 16 of his 20 total points and led the team to a victory despite Tennessee’s best efforts.

This is the kind of win that will help Florida make the NCAA Tournament, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The Gators didn’t look great against then No. 5 Kansas State on Saturday and Florida is slowly running out of chances to pick up Quadrant 1 wins.

All of the sudden, it’s pretty great to be a Florida Gator, and the fans aren’t exactly staying quiet on Twitter. Here’s a look at Gator Nation’s reaction to the big win on social media.
