Beckham, who returned from knee surgery Sept. 26 against the Chicago Bears after suffering an ACL tear last season, has been dealing with a shoulder injury this season and has attempted to play through it.
Still, his statistics this season are lackluster for an undetermined reason. He’s been targeted 34 times but has 17 receptions for 232 yards and no touchdowns.
Things may have come to a head when his father shared a video on Instagram of quarterback Baker Mayfield missing a wide open Beckham on various plays this season. Even Akron native and Los Angeles Laker LeBron James took the opportunity to comment on Beckham possibly being underutilized this season.
OBJ will show again why he’s special. WR1 #FreeOBJ
