Notre Dame's Brian Kelly is reportedly heading to Baton Rouge as the next head coach of the LSU football program - replacing Ed Orgeron.
Kelly had shut down rumors just a week ago, when asked during a press conference if he could see himself leaving Notre Dame.
"Look, I think Mike Tomlin had the best line right? Unless that fairy godmother comes by with that $250 million check, my wife would want to take a look at it first, I would have to run it by her."
After a statement like that, the news came as shock to fans across college football.

If it is any consolation to the folks at LSU. Brian Kelly’s Notre Dame staff is one of the best in college football and it has been for years.

Brian Kelly to LSU. That is shocking to say the least. Seemed like Kelly was content with being at Notre Dame till retirement. Very cushy job at a major program to leave for the pressure cooker that is the SEC.

Let’s be honest, the Kelly hire at LSU is a good one. Some don’t understand the academic restrictions he has at ND when it comes to recruiting…… players grades & SAT score is the 1st thing they ask for before recruiting someone……he may be scary in a few years….
