Social Media Can’t Get Enough of Keke Palmer’s Hair Conversation With VP Kamala Harris

Everyone knows that any conversation involving Keke Palmer is bound to be a hoot. Even when she’s speaking to the nation’s Vice President. In a new interview for Palmer’s podcast “Baby, This is Keke Palmer”, the actress interviewed VP Kamala Harris about maternal mortality and abortion. Although the conversation was insightful, social media users are having a field day over the end of the interview, where the two chatted about some not-so-political matters.

At the end of the conversation between the two, Palmer played a game with Madame VP to ask questions that listeners of the show wanted to ask. One of the first questions was specifically about her hair.

“Question number one,” Palmer started. “How many times a month do you get a silk press?” Palmer then gave a few hair flips of her own tresses, to enhance the clarity of her question.

“So you know, I don’t use a curling iron,” Harris began to answer, shocking Palmer. “It’s too much heat; I use a round brush,” she continued.

Palmer shared her immediate shock at the Vice President’s revelation.

“Now what kind of magical round brush?” Palmer asked. “Your hair must be super fine, Madame VP.”

“No, it’s not,” Harris replied. She began to explain her strategy to her always flawless hair. “It takes a while. A boar-bristle… it takes a lot of heat. But it’s too much heat to do that and do [a curling iron.]”

In shock, Palmer speaks up for th many social media users who are always in awe of Harris’ hair. “Girl, you have us shook on the internet,” Palmer said. “You and Queen Latifah are going neck-and-neck with the silk presses.”

Palmer then asked a few more questions to get to know Vice President Kamala Harris a bit more. She asked about her favorite songs from fellow Bay Area native, E-40. She also asked about her workout playlist, to which she mocked Harris’ “We did it Joe” response to President Joe Biden when the two won the election.
